2nd grades utilize drawing skills and learn the art term "still life." We looked at a varuety of still life paintings and drawings throughout history, from famous and lesser known artists. Students drew by finding and identifying basic shapes and elaborating on them to create items. We drew with pencils and Sharpies and painted with watercolor (using techniques like blotting to ensure crisper lines and colors. Enjoy!
